The Cooke County Republican Women’s annual summer picnic will take place on Thursday, June 14, at Temple Baptist Church Christian Life Center, 1811 E. California Street, Gainesville. The potluck dinner picnic will begin at 7 p.m., and will be followed by a presentation about organ donor programs. Jim Carter and Terry Wayne Gilbert, the two candidates in the July 31 runoff election for Cooke County Sheriff, will be present to discuss their qualifications and answer questions.
