Christi Craddick, Republican candidate for Texas Railroad Commission, will be the speaker at the Thursday, October 4, meeting of the Cooke County Republican Women. Craddick will speak about oil and gas issues and policies, and about the importance of engaging young people in the political process. The program starts at 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Church.

On her website, Craddick says β€œThe solution to American energy security begins in Texas and the example we set with pro-growth energy policies.” Regarding her qualifications, she writes, β€œMy experience and knowledge of the energy industry coupled with my conservative principles make me uniquely qualified to serve as Texas Railroad Commissioner. Through years of first-hand experience, I know and understand this industry, its people and their issues. I know that history has shown us that limited government frees unlimited innovation and growth.”

A native of Midland and long-time conservative activist, Craddick is a member of the State Bar of Texas and earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Guests are welcome! For information, contact CCRW President Susan Hughes, 940-727-4468, or Vice President-Programs Janice Warder, 940-612-3306.
