There are five races in the May 27 Republican Primary Runoff that will appear on ballots in Cooke County.
The races and candidates who qualified for the runoff are:
Cooke County Judge – Jason Brinkley and Byron Berry
Texas Lt. Governor – Dan Patrick and David Dewhurst
Texas Attorney General – Ken Paxton and Dan Branch
Texas Agriculture Commissioner – Sid Miller and Tommy Merritt
Texas Railroad Commission – Wayne Christian and Ryan Sitton
Alert! You are eligible to vote in the Republican runoff 1) if you voted in the March 4 Republican Primary, or 2) if you did not vote at all in any March 4 primary. In other words, if you are a registered voter and you did not vote in another party’s Primary, you are eligible to vote in the Republican Primary Runoff Elections.
March 22- 9am Cooke County GOP Convention at FSB Conference Center in Gainesville
March 28 – First day to submit Application for Ballot By Mail for Primary Runoff
April 28 – Last day to register to vote in the runoff
May 16 – Last day for County Clerk to receive Application for Ballot by Mail
May 19-23 – Early voting for Primary Runoff.
May 27 – Primary Runoff Election Day.
